Tourism and Culture Office of Anambas Island Regency releases top 10 destinations that must be visited when you go to Anambas Islands, the youngest regency in Riau Islands Province.
The top 10 destinations of Anambas Islands are quite extraordinary so that could attract the tourists to visit. As a district that is actively developing tourism, under the leadership of the regent (Mr. Abdul Haris, SH) and the deputy regent (Mr. Wan Zuhendra), Mr. Dr. Masykur, ST, MM successfully develops the tourism potential to be better and growing. Here are the islands that be mentioned earlier, they are :
Pulau Rengek (Rengek Island)
Rengek Island is located in front of Tarempa. You can go there by Speed Boat in approximately 25 Minutes from Tarempa. Rengek Island is unique island. This island has the beach in the east side and rocks in west side. You could explore this island by swimming or by trekking. The water is so clear and you can see the coral and clown fishes if you lucky. Because of the place is near from others island, the phone signal is reachable.
Pantai Padang Melang (Padang Melang Beach)
Padang Melang Beach is located in BatuBerapit Village, Jemaja Sub-district. Padang Melang has its own uniqueness. This beach has 8 Km length through Bukit Padi Village. The activity that you can do in this beach are swimming, canoeing, beach volley, snorkelling, and others. To go here you could use motorcycle or car about 10 minutes from Letung.
Air Terjun Neraja (Neraja Waterfall)
Neraja waterfall is located in Ulu Maras Village, East Jemaja sub-district. People used to call it Neraja Waterfall but there’re some people called it Ulu Maras Waterfall. If you visit this waterfall you will be amazed by its nature scenery. Neraja waterfall is one of the iconic Waterfall in Anambas Regency besides Temburun Waterfall and Air Bunyi Waterfall. This waterfall is located in the middle of hill in Ulu Maras surrounded by tropical trees and local people’s farming. To go here we need about 30 minutes by land from Letung.
Pulau Mengkian Panjang (Mengkian Panjang Island)
Mengkian Panjang Island has the beautiful beach and in the other side there’re some big rocks. In the middle of the Island has trees and could be the place to rest. The uniqueness of this island is the small savanna. The tourist could enjoy the amazing view from the top of the hill. This island also has wonderful underwater ecosystem which are tropical fishes and nature corals. This island has been nominated as Hidden paradise by API (Anugrah Pesona Indonesia)
Pulau Penjalin (Penjalin Island)
Penjalin Island is one of the most beautiful islands in AnambasRegengy. This island is located in Tebang Village, Palmatak Subdistrict. This Island has 1552,9 Km2 area with white sands and crystal cleared water. Uniquely, the penjalin island has crescent shape bay. Every corner of the beach has stones in many shapes. This bay is the attraction of this island. This island has very wide beach area which is could be done so may activities such as swimming, sunbathing, snorkelling, fishing, trekking and even diving. If you want to go here, you could rent the speed boat or “Pompong” (Wooden engine boat). It takes 1 and half hour by speed boat and 2-3 hours by Pompong from Tarempa.
Budidaya Ikan Air Sena (Air Sena Fish Farming)
Air Sena Village is known as fish farming centre in Anambas Regency. The water around here was so clear and clean. That’s why Air Sena Village become the fish farming centre from long time ago. The fishes that be farmed is Napoleon, Grouper, and other export quality fishes. If you want to go here, you could use speed boat in 15 minutes far from Tarempa.
Pulau Busung (Busung Island)
Busung Island is very small island that only has sand in it. There’s no trees or grass around. This island is surrounded by corals and tropical fishes. For you who love snorkel, this island is the right destination for you. In the other hand, this island not always there. You have to plan very well match the weather and sea tide.
Kawasan BatuTompak Tiga (The Batu Tompak Tiga)
This new destination is one of the favourite spots located in Tarempa, Siantan Subdistrict. The BatuTompakTiga Area has a unique icon which is consist of stones arrangement spread around. Some stonesat the centre of the area there’s three layers stone really high. You could spend times enjoying the view here with your family or friends. In the afternoon you can enjoy the sunset view very beautiful.
Pulau Durai (Durai Island)
Durai Island is located in Northwest Tarempa. This island is the very wonderful destination for you who love marine tourism. So many things that you could do in here such as relaxing on the beach, snorkelling, diving, fishing and trekking around the island. The best moment when you come to this island is you can see the turtle laying eggs. This island is better known as the turtle conservation site under local government control. To go here you will spend 1 and half hour speed boat ride from Tarempa.
Air Terjun Temburun (The Temburun Waterfall)
The Temburun Waterfall is located in Temburun Village, East Siantan Subdistrict. The uniqueness of this waterfall is the contour of the land. There’s seven level of rocks and flow right through the sea under. To go here you can use motorcycle or car about 30 minutes from Tarempa. You also can go by boat about 1 hour from Tarempa. The activity that you can do is swimming, take pictures, and trekking. (r)
